14th Annual Great Futures for Kids Breakfast

Singer, songwriter and author Mario Arnauz Bonds shares his story of perseverance and success at our 14th Annual Great Futures for Kids Breakfast, April 7, Residence Inn by Marriott River Ridge, Oxnard.

After losing both his vision and his parents by age 10, Mario experienced a childhood few of us can even imagine, including abuse, abandonment, poverty and homelessness. Determined not to be defined by his adversities, Mario persevered to ultimately reach success both personally and professionally, and now uses his experiences to motivate young people to tackle their own difficult circumstances head-on and realize their full potential—a message that resonates with the mission of BGCOP.

The breakfast event serves as a rally to mobilize local businesses and individuals to help raise awareness about the Club’s wide range of educational and enriching programs that help our youth successfully navigate their path to a great future.

“It’s through the generous support of our donors that BGCOP can ensure our 9,200+ members will continue to receive access to the Club, and the mentoring and activities that help these young people become caring, responsible, self-sufficient citizens in our community,” said Erin Antrim, BGCOP chief executive officer.

We hope to see you there!
